Boy Boy

I've been dying to wear this blazer. It was part of my uniform when I worked at Zara, which was basically just clothes they grabbed off the racks and gave to everyone!

Life in Technicolor

I absolutely love eyeshadow. It's my favorite part of my makeup. I don't even care if I have lipstick on, as long as I've done something with my eye shadow. However, I'm not very good at it because I freak out and think it might be getting to be too much.

Still, here is some makeup that I love and wish I could recreate for myself.

Almost all of my makeup is Urban Decay, so I sort of tried it, but less flashy looking:

It came out nicely, but photographed horribly! This was the best picture I could get. I tried to do it with spring colors because it was so sunny outside.

I love the cat eye look. I think it accentuates the eyes beautifully. And my favorite makeup artist did a wonderful version of the cat's eye.

This is Xenia, aka Doe Deere. She has her own line of makeup and she does wonders with it.

Here she does her makeup as Fafi

She also does some really flamboyant ones such as this:

This makeup, by makeup artist Miskha Mink, uses Doe Deere's eyeshadow

And then Alice Point had a friend do her makeup and it came out really lovely!

Skirting the issue

Yeah, that's a dorky title.

BUT, there are so many skirts that are unique and have different structures that I want each and every one of them.

Outside of jackets and blazers, I think skirts are my favorite. I don't actually own a lot, but I do love them and wish I could get more.

Building Blocks

This skirt is super cute, but there’s something about it or my body that doesn’t quite work perfectly. Because the waist is so narrow and the zipper doesn’t go down as far as it could, I have trouble getting it over my butt; in fact, without some pretty awkward squeezing, it doesn’t go on that way. So I have to pull this skirt down over my head to get it on!

I fear today was the last of the nice weather, but I’ll see.

Flora, Fauna

Beautiful weather is here! Probably not to stay, but at least it's here right now.

Along with the super comfy pants I bought at H&M, I also bought this skirt, which was amazing to me. Normally, I can't find a single thing I like at H&M or I can't find something that fits me. I don't know if it's the stores I go to or if it's the stores in the U.S. or if it's just me. All I know is that I was shocked when I found two pieces that I was searching for and I really loved.

There's always too much sand

These are my new H&M pants. I love them so much. They just seemed like perfect pants to wear to the beach. Next up, I'll be wearing them with heels!

Also, I spent the majority of my time at the beach reading (the water was frigid still). And I finally finished the best book I've read in a long time: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I recommend it to everyone.

Won Me Over

I was so wary of some of the new fashion trends, specifically harem pants and jumpsuits. I felt like normal people couldn't wear them and not look ridiculous. But I was proven wrong! I have since bought a pair of black harem pants from H&M.

If you are uncertain, I just wanted to share some of the looks that won me over. And I want to start with Camille:

She wore this jumpsuit so well, that I took a second look and decided, maybe that could work after all!

And then I saw that my absolute favorite blogger, Karla, also rocked a jumpsuit or two.

Here are some I found while looking online:

ASOS' Soft Harem Trousers

All of these lovely looks, and more, won me over in favor of jumpsuits and harem pants. I plan to post a picture of my new pants and hopefully, I'll have more soon because they're so comfy!

Eco-fashion

I'm not the most environmentally conscience person. I can remember to do the little things, such as turn the lights off, shut the water when I brush my teeth, etc. But, I'm kind of lazy, so I don't do a whole lot. However, fashion? That's one thing I can get behind.

There are two sites I like to check out because they have very cute organic clothing:

Velvet Leaf

Polly Jumper

Dylan Blouse

Ella Dress................................................

Katherine Trouser

Elliot Skirt

Bridget Dress

Stewart+Brown

Drape Dress

Picnic Blouse

Asymmetric Tee

I very much want the black striped Katherine Trouser from Velvet Leaf, but they don't have my size left!

Conference Clothes

I had a college newspaper contest conference to go to so I wore this outfit. Sadly, I wasn't there because I won any awards :( However, some of our writers did win, plus I was part of the panel of college newspaper editors talking about the Web edition of their newspapers. According to boyfriend and my newspaper advisors I was the most professional and I sounded the best up there.

And I know I was the best dressed!

P.S. Sorry for my grumpy look in the last picture.

Night of Romance

On Friday night I went to my Senior Ball (26 days until graduation). We didn't take a whole lot of pictures, but we took some nice ones outside when it was dark.

And I loved my dress. I found it at a bridal dress shop when I was trying on dresses for my sister's wedding. I also found this Bari Jay dress and ordered it immediately.

Also, my shoes were gorgeous:

Unfortunately, they were the MOST PAINFUL SHOES IN EXISTENCE. That may seem like an exaggeration, but it really isn't. That strap in the front dug into my toes so painfully that when I tried to take them off it was sort of stuck to my skin. Also, the cute jewelled flower in front also dug into my toes.

Originally I was going to wear this for my sister's wedding, but I'm gonna have to go shopping again now.
